AIRTOX FACEOFF LEAGUE (AFL) is an innovative, team-based league bringing together some of the world’s most talented gymnastics athletes – in a way the sport has never seen before.
The league consists of nine teams, with athletes competing for their team across six action-packed rounds throughout the season. Each round features two different disciplines that challenge both technical precision and creativity, giving the audience a chance to experience skills and tricks they’ve never seen before.
Only the top four teams will make it all the way to the Grand Final!
AFL combines a highly entertaining and easy-to-understand competition format with spectacular gymnastics. It all culminates in an intense battle for the crucial spots in the Final.
The league represents a progressive evolution of team gymnastics with a clear purpose: to create unique experiences for fans, inspire elite athletes, and create role models for the next generation of young gymnasts.
Each team consists of 11 carefully selected athletes, chosen to master the disciplines that best match their unique skills. A total of 115 athletes from around the world compete in the AIRTOX FACEOFF League, each bringing their own style, power, and personality to every round.
Behind the scenes, each team’s coaches, media crew, and Health Team work closely together to make sure the athletes are performing at their best – both physically and mentally. Training, strategy, and intense preparation set the stage for spectacular gymnastics, while the teams receive support and development throughout the entire season.
AFL isn’t just about competition – it’s about community and the fans. Each team builds its own unique identity, connects with fans on social media, launches merchandise, and hosts events that allow fans to follow, cheer, and become part of the team’s journey.
From the first insane trick of the season to the nerve-racking final moments inside Jyske Bank Boxen, you can be part of it every step of the way.
And when it all comes together, the atmosphere is electric!
Athletes and teams earn points at every round, with the standings updated throughout the season.
In each discipline, every team gets six attempts – but only their four highest scores count. This gives teams room to make mistakes, but also the opportunity to take risks, go big, and chase the highest possible scores.
Points are awarded by a judging panel consisting of former elite athletes and coaches. Each performance is scored from 0–10, and the average of the judges’ scores becomes the athlete’s final score for that attempt.
At the end of each AIRTOX FACEOFF League competition, the round victory goes to the team with the highest combined score across both disciplines. We also crown an MVP in each discipline.
But when the season comes down to the wire, only the four teams with the most points will secure their spot in the Grand Final.
